It was the early 1900's when nurses such as Florence Nightingale, Lillian Holland Harvey, and Clara Barton started the era of the ALL white uniform as a staple fashion movement within the nursing profession, without even knowing they started a fashion trend in healthcare. The mere thought of stepping on the grounds of a hospital as a nurse with anything other than a starched downed white dress, white stockings, white shoes, and lets not forget the infamous white hat, would pretty much have everyone looking at you with the famous, SIDE-EYE. I have to be honest and tell you that I love me some white, but I don't know if I could have been a nurse during that era because of my clumsy tendency to waste absolutely everything that has color in it on me while wearing white, LOL! But "Oh My" how the times, seasons, and fashion trends have changed. There is a new kid on the block who is coming to start a new healthcare fashion trend.
This week's Nicole Thomas INC Feature Friday is notable fashion icon, Celeste Jean, BSN RN. During Celeste's time away from work you can catch her rocking the latest affordable fashions because she knows that when she looks good she feels good ( not that she isn't already dynamic despite what she has on). Due to her love for fashion, Celeste decided to start her own line of scrubs in which she does all her own designs, manufacturing, and distribution through her company "Scrub Addict". Now that's BOSSY! Whats makes this BOSSY is her utilization of letting her passions and gifts lead her on her journey to #Purpose. She is totally Queening it ( is that even a word, Y'all know I make up my own words, LOL). Celeste I salute you queen for being #InHealthOnPurpose.
